Family Friendly

Client Brief -
Add color to the walls that would work well with the exposed brick. A pale blue/green was chosen, to tie in with the dark blue living room and compliment the brick.

Inspiration -
A reclaimed wood media console, that the client already owned. The piece fit perfectly in the room, as it provided a lot of storage for components without compromising the narrow space. The natural look of the wood, inspired a laid back feel with neutral colors.

Challenge -
The room was long and narrow, yet had to serve as both the family room, tv room and playroom.

Outcome -
The furnishings were selected in a neutral palate to enhance the natural beauty of the brick and the reclaimed wood media console. A light mushroom colored sofa was chosen for comfort and scale. Small leather ottoman cubes, with built-in trays provided a place to put feet up or a drink on, without taking up much space. Finally, simple accessories such as black & white artwork in coordinating frames and cream lamps were added to keep the space cozy and natural.
